Out of Airplane Series
This series of photographs were taken while observing the American landscape from my airplane seat. The many fields of color come from different flights at different times. The object of this series, was to capture the many combination of color present in the sky and ground plane.

Taking a step back from the photographs helps abstracts them into the fields of color I saw.

Each photograph is printed on archival paper and printed a limited number of 25 each photograph. All are signed, dated, and numbered.

Photographs are 12" x 18". Other sizes are available upon request.

December Press Release Quote:
"Photographs from Matthew Lechowick's “Out of Airplanes” series will fill the Blue Wing Gallery for this exhibition. The images are stunning in their simplicity; many are verging on the abstract. Some of the highly textured cloud formations are void of focal points allowing our minds eye to imagine a lunar landscape or a windswept desert. These photographs transcend mere documentation of sky and clouds. Instead they fill us with a sense of the sky’s vastness, reviling a space so endless we may get lost in the mystery captured by the artist's camera."
